The Sforza Castle is a renowned architectural and cultural landmark located in the heart of Milan. However, not everyone is familiar with its rich history and hidden secrets. The castle has served not only as a backdrop for some of Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo's artistic masterpieces but also as a passage point for many prominent figures of the Italian Renaissance. The fortress is closely associated with Ludovico Sforza and his political machinations. Ludovico, also known as Ludovico il Moro, served as the Duke of Milan between 1494 to 1499. During this tumultuous time, he demonstrated his ambition and cunning, which helped him to establish his leadership in the region.

During this meeting, after exploring the artistic and architectural peculiarities of the castle, art historian Valentina Lodeserto will present the figure of Ludovico Sforza. Focusing on his life and rule, through the exploration of the spaces of the Castello Sforzesco and its museums, participants will have the opportunity to understand the political and cultural impact that this character had on Renaissance Milan.

Subsequently, Carlo Fontana Giusti, Professor of Organizational Behaviour and leadership expert, will draw inspiration from certain aspects of Ludovico Sforza's managerial style. He will emphasize virtues to emulate and mistakes to avoid to be a good leader and guide one's team with effectiveness, trust, and integrity.
