AGGIORNAMENTO PERMANENTE
IN PERSON
Industry 4.0 and Digital Transformation: The Impacts on Productivity and Innovation Today and Tomorrow

The meeting includes a limited number of participants
Bonfiglioli Via Clementino Bonfiglioli, 1 - 40012 CALDERARA DI RENO (BO)

This meeting, divided into two parts, will offer participants the opportunity to both discuss and reflect on the impact of new technologies on organizations and to "experience firsthand" how these technologies can transform production plants.

In the first part, participants will have the opportunity to delve into how the various digital technologies that have been spreading in recent years can be used not only to improve productivity but also as tools for product, process, and service innovation. The discussion will also cover organizational changes and human resources needed to fully harness the potential of these technologies. This will be addressed both strategically and practically, in relation to the current context of increasingly dynamic and demanding markets, characterized by a shortage of human resources.

In the second part, participants will have the opportunity to visit the Bonfiglioli plant, which offers a unique reality where, from mechanical processing to assembly, machines are the true protagonists. These machines feature various types and degrees of automation and are all interconnected.

At the end of the meeting, participants will have:

  • a better understanding of how the correct adoption of digital technologies can help them respond to macro trends and disruptions (slowbalisation, supply chain instability, greater focus on sustainability)
  • an in-depth understanding of common mistakes and some less obvious benefits of Industry 4.0, to keep in mind when making investment choices and defining their strategies
  • a better understanding of what the transition to the broader vision of Industry 5.0 entails and how it can and should impact their future strategies
  • insights into the human skills and organizational changes necessary to effectively carry out the digital transition
  • in-depth examples of how different companies are approaching this transition, providing ideas on mistakes to avoid and successful solutions to replicate in their own organization
  • inspiration and ideas from how Bonfiglioli has implemented the latest Industry 4.0 technologies in their plant.
Participation is subject to approval by the host company as it involves access to a restricted area of the company.
