The meeting will allow participants to discuss the potential impacts on the world and Italy of the upcoming U.S. elections, which are fundamental in outlining the broader picture of international relations, characterized by tensions between the U.S. in apparent decline and new global and regional powers asserting themselves. The competition between Washington and Beijing, the course of the wars in Ukraine and the Gaza Strip, and relations between allies within NATO are just some of the open tables whose trajectory the U.S. elections will chart. At the same time, in Europe, it is necessary to wonder about the short- and medium-term consequences of the advance of new and old nationalisms.
 
In particular, the meeting will give participants a chance to explore:
