The discussion will begin with the consequences of Donald Trump’s victory in the U.S. elections on ongoing conflicts, U.S.-China relations, and economic and trade relations with Italy and Europe.

Following this, the political and economic priorities of the new European Commission will be examined, with particular attention to military defence, the conflict in Russia, the green transition, and the interest rate trends as determined by the ECB.

Finally, the challenges facing the Italian government, both geopolitical and economic, will be discussed. These include the approval of the budget law by the end of the year, spending for the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), and the implementation of the new Stability Pact for 2025.
