In a world in transition, where strategic decisions regarding the location of production assets, resources, and talent play an increasingly crucial role, the attractiveness of country systems becomes a key element in attracting investments and in the resulting competition. In this context, attractiveness measurement indices provide companies and institutions with the necessary tools to make informed decisions about where and how to invest.
The European House – Ambrosetti, together with Philip Morris Italia, Toyota Material Handling Italia, Amazon Italia, and other investors in the country, has launched the Global Attractiveness Index (GAI) platform, to provide Italian and international decision-makers with an innovative country index capable of offering a representative picture of the attractiveness and sustainability of countries. Consequently, it provides reliable insights to support system choices for growth and the optimization of the pro-business environment. Over the years, the GAI has received a statistical audit from the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission, certifying its methodological validity, and has become one of the most closely monitored indices by the Italian Government, as well as being monitored by the governments of other countries (such as Russia, France, and Turkey).
