Created by the Colaiacovo family in 1966, Colacem is now the third cement producer in the Italian market and ranks first in export, thanks to the strategic position of some production plants.

The factors that have determined a distinctive market leadership are attributable to a forward-looking, market-oriented vision, technological innovation and, above all, sustainability: attention to the environment, that in the '60s seemed a futuristic concept in heavy industry, was the winning key to compete in the national and international scene.

During the visit we will see the plants of the production cycle, in a walking path between centralized hall, rotary oven and bagging of the finished product, in what, today, is one of the most advanced plants in Europe. The company’s Managers will explain how Colacem’s commitment to sustainability takes on a truly systemic dimension, as an unavoidable strategic and operational foundation, starting from the mitigation of the impacts of its mining activities, through mining projects that include environmental recovery plans of the area, with the protection of ecosystems. The Green New Deal, the Next Generation EU plan and the mission of the PNRR, which combine the most advanced needs of sustainability with the need to strengthen the conditions of competitiveness of the manufacturing industry, find in Colacem a synthesis of great relevance and stimulus.
