The Edison "Carlo Esterle" hydroelectric power plant in Cornate D'Adda represents an extraordinary union of technological excellence and industrial archaeology: conceived in 1906, it was built in just eight years and entered into service on May 15, 1914. He hasn’t stopped since. It has been modernized and improved several times so that, for technology, reliability and efficiency, it is now a state-of-the-art plant. However, it is remarkable that all these interventions were conducted in full respect of the original forms to the point of being almost invisible.
 
The central "Esterle" is, in fact, particularly known for its beauty. It is built in an eclectic Lombard style: the imposing Gothic windows have made it famous and more like a villa than an industrial building.  During the meeting, participants will have the unique opportunity to visit a place where art, innovation and technology come together, to experience first-hand the challenges and solutions in the future of energy, an increasingly crucial issue in the current context.
