The agri-food sector, one of the flagship of Made in Italy, is facing a period of radical transformation. The growth of conscious consumption pushes companies to rethink not only the "what" but also the "how" is produced, paying increasing attention to sustainability throughout the entire supply chain. At the same time, the use of IoT, blockchain and artificial intelligence can enable new production models, much more effective and efficient than the past. However, the evolution of the agri-food sector cannot help but introduce new skills and professionalism in companies, today more than necessary to project into the future.
 
What are the keys of development for agrifood? How can companies  evolve their business?
 
In this meeting, participants will discuss with Professor Vitaliano Fiorillo, AGRI Lab director of Bocconi University and author of Agribusiness: management of the farm, and with Professor Marianna Lo Zoppo, coordinator AGRI Lab Bocconi, that through ideas and concrete cases will illustrate the challenges for companies in the agrifood sector.

The meeting will focus on:

  • the drivers of agrifood transformation
  • sustainability, traceability and security of the supply chain
  • agritech, opportunities and risks
  • human capital and new agricultural and food trades.
