AGGIORNAMENTO PERMANENTE
IN PERSON
The dark and bright side of leadership (with networking lunch)

NH Torino Centro Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, 104 - 10121 TORINO

This session offers the opportunity to understand why leaders often fail and when they succeed, by analysing the most common personality traits. Certain psychological aspects can positively or negatively influence the emergence and effectiveness of leadership, thereby determining not only personal professional success or failure but also significantly impacting team productivity and the alignment between individuals and their work environment.
Drawing on examples from both the corporate and political worlds, the session will explore the leadership models of prominent figures, highlighting their strengths and weaknesses. This will enable participants to identify the most common positive and negative workplace behaviours, measure their impact, and understand strategies to either prevent or adopt them.
The session will specifically delve into:

  • the range of positive and negative behaviours: how to define, recognise, and measure them
  • the impact of positive and negative behaviours on oneself and others: understanding how they drive leadership success or failure and influence colleague relationships
  • how to negotiate in highly competitive situations by balancing personal and collective interests: practical lessons drawn from the “prisoner’s dilemma”.
In the second part of the session, participants will explore how personality traits relate to competitiveness. They will engage in a practical exercise based on the prisoner’s dilemma model. This exercise will demonstrate the importance of negotiation and cooperation for a leader, providing a tangible experience of how to balance personal and collective strategies in competitive scenarios.
This session offers a unique opportunity to reflect on leadership models and develop essential skills to build cohesive, productive, and well-managed teams.
